Verboten Flame

Ecstasy- passions high from a forbidden dream.
With a stolen glance the wind paints the skies,
illusions of broken light dance between separate eyes,
and the explosions in my chest raise my self-esteem.
Now I see the good of evil and the joy in painful cries,
I hear the music of life belting its beautiful theme,
and I feel a power that is so raw and extreme-
that I can only take another look at you for a reprise.

In the form of vivid fantasies- worlds suddenly open.
The need to touch, to feel, to be in you haunts time-
and it makes stars collide as these needs continue to grow.
I try to quit by pushing out these dreams but they come again,
always bringing those images and feelings that will never sublime.
So I beg you take these tortured eyes and teach them how to go.
