The answers to that which isn’t explained,
is held tightly within my callous hands.
This magic that can take me to new lands,
is a book that is so rich and ready to entertain.
The pages crinkle for they had been stained-
by coffee or tea, maybe even muddy hands,
yet that is a mystery that will stay unexplained.
Besides, to read is what this book demands.
The words bleed with some secret rhyme,
and the warped pages act like a jigsaw puzzle-
that only adds to the books rich and fantastic power.
To delay opening the cover is a malice crime,
for it cries that the two of you cuddle and nuzzle-
For it is a puzzle waiting for you to come and devour.
